Today in class : April 12th

There were two homework assignments for today :
1.  On Saturday, students received a sheet of paper and they were supposed to go home and write about their holiday.  This is to practice writing paragraphs.  Remember that a paragraph has at least 5 sentences!! I want students to remember how to write paragraphs and practice!

2.  Workbook page 46 : the exercises in the workbook was there to practice reading and answering questions.
IF there is any word you don't understand in your reading, please circle the word! ASK me in class the next day what that word means!

We practiced speaking in class and I have told students that from now on until the end of the year, that students will lose points if I hear them speaking in Arabic! I want students to practice talking as much as possible! Even with  your friends, in class I want you to speak ONLY in English!

NOTE TO PARENTS : I will go over the workbook homework in class with the students. I know that sometimes the book is hard to understand.

Welcome back!!! I hope all of you have had a wonderful spring break and now you are ready for school! I've missed you a lot and it's great to see all of you again!

Tuesday April 13th - homework : 
In your activity notebook, write one paragraph (write 5 sentences) about your Easter holiday


Think about these questions : What did you do during the holidays? Did you go anywhere? Where did you go? Were you happy to not have school? Did you play with your friends?

Saturday April 17th - NO HOMEWORK!!
